Soft Matter in Physics, Biology and Materials Sciences: Programmability, Actuation and Reconfigurability
The GIAN course held at the Department of Physics, National Institute of Technology Calicut, from November 24 to 28, 2025, offered a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of soft matter. The course was led by Prof. Damien Baigl from École Normale Supérieure (ENS), Paris, and Dr. Subramanyan Namboodiri Varanakkottu from NIT Calicut, whose expertise brought international insights to the participants.
Suman, Vaisakh and Uma attended this course from SMNL. Suman stood out by actively engaging with the course content and demonstrating a deep understanding of the material. His efforts were recognized with the Best Participant Award, highlighting his commitment and grasp of complex concepts. Vaisakh has received Best Group Presentation where his group presented their proposal on DNA Nanotechnology.
