A  journey exploring air–water interfaces reached an exciting milestone on 7th July 2026, as Akash Mishra successfully defended his PhD thesis. Titled "Adsorption Mechanisms, Interfacial Assembly and Structural Behaviour of Langmuir Films," his work investigated the interfacial self-assembly of biomolecules and colloidal nanoparticles. His research unraveled their interfacial interactions and structural evolution while directly linking the surface morphology of these Langmuir films to their viscoelastic properties.
