Mr. Suman Bhattacharjee successfully defended his PhD thesis on 14 January 2026 and from now on designated as Dr. Suman Bhattacharjee. Suman’s doctoral research addresses how nanoparticles and colloidal systems organize themselves into ordered structures. His work explores how particle shape, interactions, interfaces, and environmental conditions collectively govern self-assembly, pattern formation, and emergent order at the nanoscale. We are thrilled to share that Anuj Chhabra successfully defended his doctoral research on 7 January 2026! His work explored DNA nanoparticle interactions and assembly, shedding light on how DNA strands interact with nanoscale particles and how these interactions influence structure, dynamics, and assembly behavior at the molecular level.

The Annual International Meeting on Complex Fluids and Soft Matter, known as CompFlu 2025, recently took place at the J. N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Among the many highlights of the conference, one achievement stood out: Suman received the Best Poster Award for his research on "Effect of Shape Anisotropy on the Dynamic Self-Assembly of Nanoparticles at Liquid–Liquid Interfaces"
